Black Jack is a name applied to two closely related varieties. Sweet Seeds created one strain and is a cross between two Sensi Seeds parents: the mainly indica and Afghani-derived Black Domina and the more balanced Jack Herer.

The other variety, Black Jack Strain (sometimes written as Blackjack), was created by Nirvana Seeds. This latest Blackjack is a cross between Black Domina and Jock Horror, Nirvana’s version of Jack Herer, which is a sativa-dominant cross between the staple Northern Lights, Skunk and Haze strains. The THC composition of these Black Jacks ranges cumulatively between 15% and 25%.

Nirvana variety Black Jack buds tend to be smaller and popcorn-like, with pale, unformed leaves and orange pistils covered in trichomes. Sweet Seeds strain buds, on the other hand, are larger and denser, sometimes with a purple tinge to the leaves.

Both types are very sticky and difficult to break by hand. The high resin content of these strains makes them perfect for producing hashish and other THC concentrates. Both black jack strain sativa or indica varieties smell and flavor wood and pine, but the Sweet Seeds type retains the distinctive floral scent of its Black jack marijuana strain Herer parent, with fresh grapefruit balanced with a bit of musk and tobacco.

While similar, the Nirvana variety can also hint at berries. The smoke of both varieties of blackjack strain is often described as thick yet smooth when inhaled. Both taste sweet and slightly creamy or malty on the exhale.

Blackjack Weed Strain by Sweet Seeds produces a high that affects the user quickly, causing a feeling of heaviness in the head. The effects are generally uplifting as it progresses, reducing anxiety and relieving depression.

What are the rules of Blackjack?

Blackjack hands are scored based on total points. The hand with the highest total wins as long as it does not exceed 21; a hand with a total greater than 21 is said to bust. Cards 2 through 10 are worth their beginning value, and face cards (jack, queen, king) are worth 10.

Where did Blackjack come from?

The game is a comparison card game in which each player competes against the dealer. The immediate precursor to Blackjack was the English version called vingt-un, a game of unknown (but probably Spanish) provenance. The first written reference is found in a book by the Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes.
